Foodstuffs North Island Ltd is a New Zealand grocery distribution chain owned by a Retailer Co-operative group that include large scale supermarket brands such as New World, Pak N Save and Four Square stores, located in almost every town and city in New Zealand.
Project Scope: Pace Power and Air Ltd was awarded the contract to supply, install and commission a 500kVA standby generator at the new Ormiston New World supermarket. A supplement was added to the contract for periodic inspection and machine servicing in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty.
Details: For sound and acoustic performance, a JCB G500QX canopy type generator was fitted into the plant room, with Pace assisting in the design and fabrication of the specialized outlet ducting and exhaust extension plus seismic floor mounts.
Supply JCB G500QX standby generator 491kVA / 393kW capacity
Provide and fit seismic mount brackets to generator frame and exhaust pipe extension
Install generator inside plant room, assemble and fit cowling, ducting, and exhaust vent
Check and test systems electronic functions on completion of electrical connections
Start-up and run machine for approximately 4 hours to fine tune and complete commissioning
